Integrate paywise debt collection into your software. Submit claims for collection, keep your application updated as cases progress, and retrieve financial statements to reconcile payments and payouts.

What you can do

  • Submit claims for collection. Transfer unpaid invoices, rental claims, or titled claims—claims backed by an enforceable title, such as a court judgment—to paywise.
  • Track collection progress. Retrieve case updates and receive webhook notifications when events occur, so your application stays up to date.
  • Reconcile financial activity. Retrieve statements—financial breakdowns of payments, payouts, and charges—for your accounting processes.
You can also exchange documents and messages with paywise and report payments received directly from debtors, the people or companies who owe money. The API works alongside the web app: you can submit cases there and use the API only to track progress or reconcile statements.

Get started

For your own company’s collection cases:
  1. Create a paywise account, or sign in to your existing account.
  2. Open Für Entwickler → Zur Sandbox in the paywise portal, then create an API key under Für Entwickler in the sandbox portal. The sandbox lets you test your integration without sending collection letters or moving money.
  3. Follow the quickstart to submit your first test claim and follow the resulting case.

Building for your customers?

Contact paywise about becoming a partner if you are adding debt collection to a platform for other companies. The Partner API handles company onboarding and access. The Case Management API handles collection for those companies: submitting claims, tracking cases, and retrieving statements. Use the same partner key for both APIs, selecting the customer company on each Case Management request. See Calling the Case Management API for the integration details.
